Elmer’s Slime Kit: What you need to know about the brand new elmer’s slime
In this episode of BBC News Live we’re joined by Elmer Dyson and David Balfour.
The man who invented the slime kit has just announced that his new line of slime-infused products will be available at the start of next month.
“The first batch of the elmer-slime kit is coming out in May,” says Elmer.
“That’s what I want to say to you, but don’t expect it to be available in May.”
It will be in stores in May.
The slime kit is designed to help you get rid of the smell that is often associated with your favourite elm or other tree species.
The company claims that it has been created with a “cleaner and more natural” ingredient, as well as being “more than 50 per cent more effective than regular elm slime”.
“The main ingredient is a blend of the natural elm sap and a mixture of plant nutrients that is high in vitamin C,” explains Elmer, adding that it “works well on skin, hair, joints, skin cells and even hair follicles”.
It contains 30 per cent protein, 30 per per cent fat and 30 per 100g carbohydrate.
“In addition to being 100 per cent natural, the elm is packed with antioxidants which help prevent ageing and improve the quality of your skin.”
Elmer is also quick to point out that the product is “100 per cent plant-based”.
“We’ve developed our product with the goal of making the product more sustainable,” he says.
“So we’ve made the elmaise extract a vegan, cruelty-free and cruelty-tested product.”
What are elm slimes?
Elm slime is the natural, plant-derived ingredient that gives elm trees their beautiful green colour.
The sap of elm gives the tree its green colour, while the plant nutrients, including vitamin C, provide the sap with the green colour in the first place.
The plant nutrients also contain anti-oxidants that are used by skin cells to protect skin from damaging free radicals.
It’s this that makes the product feel so soothing and pleasant, especially when applied to a skin-crawling rash.
Elmer says that his elm product is 100 per 100 per 1000 calories and contains no artificial colours or flavours.
“We’re trying to give elm a more natural taste,” he adds.
“It’s not a fancy elm flavour.
It just has the natural flavour.
So the taste of the tree is actually really good.”
What else does it contain?
According to the company, the product contains “a blend of plant- and animal-derived ingredients”, including: “Plant-derived essential fatty acids: Plant-derived fatty acids are found in olive oils, safflower oils and nut butters.
They help improve skin elasticity, prevent and treat acne and promote healthy skin.
Essential fatty acids also help protect skin against the sun, which can cause premature ageing.
Vitamin C can be found in oily and oily skin creams and skin moisturisers. “
Anti-oxidation: Vitamin E and vitamin E-rich fatty acids help reduce the risk of free radicals damaging skin.”
Vitamin C can be found in oily and oily skin creams and skin moisturisers.
Vitamin E can also be found naturally in olive oil, saflower oil and nuts.
Vitamin A: Vitamin A is an amino acid that’s also found in plants and helps to make collagen and elastin.
It also plays a role in maintaining healthy skin cells.
Vitamin B6: Vitamin B12 is an essential amino acid found in red meat and is found in both white and blueberries.
It helps to prevent and reduce the damage caused by free radicals when they form in the body.
Vitamin D: Vitamin D is an important vitamin in the blood and can help to protect the skin from UV-A rays and other damaging light-blocking agents.
Vitamin K2: Vitamin K is a form of vitamin K2 that’s found in the liver, kidney, muscle and brain.
It plays a vital role in regulating the growth of skin cells, as it helps the body convert Vitamin A to Vitamin K. “Calcium: Vitamin Ca is found naturally and in many vegetables, in mushrooms, in spinach, in tomatoes, in rice and in some cereals.
It provides the body with calcium and also plays an important role in the production of collagen and elasticity of the skin.”
The elm-slide will be released by Elmers Elmer Shampoos on Monday 21st May.
