What we know so far about the PS2 Slim, PS2 Pro and PS4 Pro
Sony has unveiled a new slim and PS2 Plus PS4 box to be announced later this week.
The box, codenamed Slimbox, is the latest of Sony’s PS4 Slim boxes, and it features a slightly larger display and a slightly thinner profile.
Sony says it is “the world’s smallest PS4” and will be sold at $99.99.
There are no new details about the box or the PS4 S model.
At the moment, we don’t know what model of PS4 you’ll be able to buy, but you’ll likely be able pick one up on Monday at participating retailers.
“We’re excited to unveil the Slimbox today, which will be available to buy at participating Sony retailers,” the company wrote in a press release.
“The Slimbox is the world’s tiny PS4.”
Sony has also confirmed the Slim Box will ship in October.
We’ll update you as we get more information.
In the meantime, check out the images below.
This PS4 Plus box is only about 4mm thicker than the Slim box above.
You can see the difference in the width and height of the box, and the difference between the two boxes.
It also looks like the SlimBox has a wider footprint than the PS3 Plus.
You can also see that there’s a slightly wider top edge than the existing PS3 Slim.
Here’s a close-up of the Slim’s side panel.
If you have a PlayStation 4 Pro, this is the same box.
